Posting to blogs
At the blogging workshop I went to they said lots of blogs don't allow the public to post - they use it mainly as a one way communications vehicle. They are afraid of being overwhelmed and having to answer to many and also about controlling what is out there.

No IM tonight - with 20 minutes to go.
I was really suprised that the SMU library allows people to post comments on their blog. I'm afraid if we tried this it would get nasty, like the Post Bulletin blog sometimes does. But ideally it would be a way to keep patrons informed of library issues and foster conversation with the public.
